When Colors Coalesce

When colors coalesce on the rafters of my innermost being,
I find that I am faced with the reality that you are never far,
I yearn for a taste of that which is beyond the confines of what is known to me,
Where is the edge of everything I do not know?
Where is the beginning of that which I do?
I kneel helplessly in the desert of a world that is almost too silent,
But that which is true is merely a breath away,
I can feel it just beyond what I find to be conceivable,
But to attain seems impossible,
Might the winds be torn apart,
Might the sands envelop me,
I am but a weary traveler distraught by the stains of a once embraced tourniquet,
And the mountains which reside on the outskirts of my solitude begin to pervade a world that is no longer my own,
When colors coalesce on the rafters of my innermost being.
